The “man without a face” is the hero of this black comedy, Rafał, whose sole principle in life seems to be conforming to other people’s expectations and deceiving everyone around him. He seduces an employee of the bank in which he has applied for a company loan only because he feels that she wants him to. When his wife discovers he is being unfaithful, he tries to save his marriage only because it's the “right” thing to do. He lies in his business activities as well – he runs an online store that sells knock-offs instead of brand-name items, as he assumes that customers who pay half price in the belief that they are purchasing the genuine article want to be cheated . Things would stay the way they are, were it not for one inconvenient circumstance: Rafał’s body turns on him, making him faint whenever he lies. This affliction leads to many comical situations, but also prompts the hero to reflect upon his life, a life based on lies – until now.
