A play inspired by the biography of Tomasz Sikorski – an exceptional avant-garde composer, pianist, precursor of minimalism in music, who died in unexplained circumstances in 1988, at the age of 49. Unappreciated during his lifetime, he struggled with depression, alcoholism, and loneliness. He was found dead in his tiny apartment in Warsaw's MDM district. The author uses the device of play-within-a-play. In a dramatized series of conjectures, two actors and a director preparing a play about Sikorski put forward hypotheses, and assumptions about the last period of the artist’s life and his mysterious death. The result is part fiction, part documentary (interviews with Sikorski's friend, Teresa Różyłło), and part concert. The music of Tomasz Sikorski used in the play is not merely an illustration but an integral part of the production.
