A play about searching for identity and about how we are not able to communicate with one another. The author was inspired by, among others, cyberpunk, computer games, the atmosphere of futuristic films. Her play is a futuristic fairy tale with elements of social satire. The action begins as in a realistic Irish drama in which odd, lonely and unhappy people always meet at the same pub named “Glass Weather”. We only later come to understand that it is the year 2040 and the heroes are people who exist outside the system. Some do not wish to be a part of it while others simply can’t cope with living in it. Each one of them has a story to tell and together, they are to take part in the predicted – or perhaps only intuited – end of the world.
