The play is inspired by Tadeusz Różewicz’s Kartoteka and Fellini’s La Dolce Vita. The inspiration by Różewicz’s drama is strictly formal - we find the protagonist in an analogous situation. He decides to spend a quiet Sunday in bed. However, this doesn’t come to pass as a collection of characters winds through his apartment. The reference to Fellini is not quite as literal. The drama’s authors asked themselves the question: who could the film’s Marcello be, were he transported into contemporary Polish reality? As a result, they created a not devoid of humour and criticism towards the hero, spiritual portrait of today’s thirtysomethings.
