Written for the Strefy Kontaktu 2016 competition organised by Teatr Współczesny in Wrocław, this is the playwriting debut of Szczecin-based writer Inga Iwasiów, who was shortlisted for the Nike, Poland's top literary award. It deals with issues never previously addressed in contemporary Polish theatre. The protagonists are Marta and Marek, a young married couple who, unable to have children of their own, apply to adopt a baby. But this is not a topical, socially-engaged text whose purpose is to expose the faults of social services and the institutions and individuals involved with the adoption procedure. This is, above all, a play about two people in love, who are overwhelmed by the situation in which they have found themselves. A story about the trials that true love faces.
